Hey there, I'm Liz
*and I accidentally moved to New York
When I came to the University of California, Berkeley, I thought I wanted to be a dietician (admittedly, at eighteen years old, it was easy to equate healthy eating and a fixation on body image with career aspirations). Two semesters, and one design internship later, I realized that what I really wanted to do was tell stories--my own, but also more fervently, the stories of people much smarter than me. For me, great design articulates great ideas--it makes the work of brilliant minds more clear, more digestible, and ultimately, louder.
I now live and work in Brooklyn (although I left a good chunk of my heart in the checkout line at Berkeley Bowl), painting murals and tending to the garden that is Friends Work Here. I'm a big fan of plantain chips, wearing flip flops when it's 40° outside, and neglecting to read directions. I'm also probably a big fan of you.
Project inquiries, general questions, unsolicited criticism, podcast recommendations, horoscope cautions, and vegan food truck sightings are all welcomed here---drop me a line if you're down to clown.
